PURPOSE: A method for processing a shoe pocket of a piston for a swash type compressor and a processing jig are provided to prevent partial deformation, and to improve durability of abrasion. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing a shoe pocket of a piston for a swash type compressor comprises following steps. The shoe pocket(300) is processed in the piston(14). The processed shoe pocket is grinded. Rough grinding and finishing are successively performed in order to process the shoe pocket. The processed shoe pocket is grinded by a processing jig having the same sectional form of shoe with pressurizing a shoe mounting surface at pre-determined pressure.
