METHACRYLATE RESIN AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A (meth)acrylic resin is provided to have excellent transparency which is inherent property of (meth)acrylic resin, and to have high glass transition temperature and thermal stability. CONSTITUTION: A (meth)acrylic resin comprises alkyl(meth)acrylate unit, and (meth)acrylamide unit. The glass transition temperature is 125-145°C. The weight average molecular weight(Mw) of the (meth)acrylic resin is 50,000-500,000 g/mol. The initial decomposition temperature by thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) is 370°C or higher. A manufacturing method of the (meth)acrylic resin comprises a step of polymerizing monomers comprising alkyl (meta)acrylate and (meta)acrylamide by using mercaptan and lactam as a coupling initiator.
