PURPOSE: A method for operating an engine is provided to improve the injection cycle and engine operation by providing deviation signals to closed circuit controllers. CONSTITUTION: A method for operating an engine comprises following steps. Setting signals(70) about the cycle of the nozzle needle are pre-set. An injector is controlled by an output terminal module. Cycle signals corresponding to the cycle of the nozzle needle are detected. Real signals(60) are detected from the cycle signals. Deviation signals(82) are detected from the real signals and the setting signals. The engine comprises the injector, and the output terminal module.
