PURPOSE: A wind turbine having a pitch controller and a pitch control method for the wind turbine are provided to exactly control the pitch of a rotor blade by estimating the rotation speed of a power generator based on a rotational speed history value of a driving shaft. CONSTITUTION: A wind turbine comprises a unit(310) for estimating the rotation speed of a power generator, a unit(320) for calculating a estimated pitch value, and a pitch control unit(330). The unit for estimating the rotation speed of a power generator(7) calculates the estimated rotation speed value of the power generator based on a history value of the rotation speed. The unit for calculating the estimated pitch value calculates the estimated pitch value based on the estimated rotation speed value. The pitch control unit controls the pitch of a rotor blade(6) based on the estimated pitch value.
