FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing stable lactide particles used to produce polylactic acid. The method involves bringing a continuous stream of molten lactide into contact with a surface with subsequent hardening of the lactide melt and removal of solid lactide in form of particles from said surface.
