METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING UPLINK CONTROL SIGNALS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transmitting uplink control signals are provided to maximally reduce resources of an uplink control channel which is allocated to transmit uplink control signals by commonly using the resources of the uplink control channel. CONSTITUTION: Resources in an uplink control channel are allocated. The resources of the uplink control channel is commonly used by a first control signal requesting an uplink data channel and a second control signal requesting automatic re-transmission of a transmitter. The first control signal and the second control signal are converted to a predetermined symbol. A phase of the converted symbol is changed. The phase changed output symbol is expanded to a spreading code. The spreading code is transmitted by using the allocated resources of the uplink control channel.
