PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for forming a gradient groove of a dynamic gas spring are provided to precisely control the opening/closing speed of a door by effectively restricting impact or vibration between a piston and a cylinder when completing the extension of a piston rod. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for forming a gradient groove of a dynamic gas spring comprises an outer die(110) supporting the exterior of a cylinder(11), an inner die(120) which is inserted in the hollow of the cylinder and supports the interior of the cylinder, a forming member(130) which includes a forming body protruding in the shape of a gradient groove and is located in a slit(121) of the inner die to selectively press the interior of the cylinder, and a pressing member(140) which is located in the hollow of the inner die and pushes the forming member against the interior of the cylinder to form a gradient groove on the inner wall of the cylinder.
