PURPOSE: An over-voltage protective device is provided to maintain the size of applied voltage in the level of rated voltage. CONSTITUTION: An over-voltage protective device is composed of a plurality of diodes(200-1-200-n), a relay circuit(210), and a control circuit(220). A plurality of diodes outputs second direct current voltage by reducing the voltage size of first direct current voltage outputted from a commutation device(100). The diode reduces the size of the inputted voltage in a constant size. The relay circuit is composed of a switching element for controlling the number of a plurality of diodes. The control circuit controls the switching of the relay circuit according to the calculated diode number.
