PURPOSE: A network system capable of controlling the operation of an air conditioner using a terminal, and a controlling method thereof are provided to enable users to download preset information from a web server for controlling the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A network system capable of controlling the operation of an air conditioner using a terminal comprises the following: the air conditioner(100) discharging air into an installation space; a first communication interface provided inside the air conditioner for transferring operation information or control information of the air conditioner. The terminal(200) controls the operation of the air conditioner, and downloads preset information from a web server.
