FAN CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR PURIFIER AND AIR PURIFIER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An air purifier and a method for controlling the fan of the air purifier are provided to prevent the occurrence of part destruction and circuit malfunction due to the inductance characteristic of fan motors. CONSTITUTION: The operational intensity of an air purifier is confirmed(S10). A first fan motor operates at a first operational speed in order to correspond to the confirmed operational intensity of the air purifier(S20). A fan in connection with the first fan motor rotates. A second fan motor operates at a second operational speed, and a fan in connection with the second fan motor rotates(S30). The second operational speed is obtained by varying the first operational speed as much as a pre-set value. The pre-set value is determined by considering at least one of the loads of the fan motors, the sizes of the fans, and the structure of the air purifier.
