PURPOSE: A method for detecting error on a main drive at a rolling mill facility is provided to accurately diagnose the errors on a main drive based on the vibration of a main drive at a constant speed section of a final rolling pass. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting error on a main drive at a rolling mill facility comprises next steps. A vibration value of a cooling pan motor and main drive is measured by using an acceleration sensor at a constant speed section of a rolling pass(S301). The mean of the vibration values measured by in the main drive is output. If the mean vibration value of the main drive is bigger than the standard vibration value of the main drive, it diagnoses that the main drive is abnormal. If the mean vibration value of the cooling pan motor is bigger than the standard vibration value of the cooling pan motor, it diagnoses that the main drive is abnormal(S305). |
