PURPOSE: A nondestructive analysis of Korean paper using a near-infrared ray spectrometry is provided to systematically manage by scientifically and objectively analyzing Korean paper to safely permanent-preserve Korean paper. CONSTITUTION: A nondestructive analysis of Korean paper using a near-infrared ray spectrometry is as follows. An average spectrum of Korean paper is measured by using a near-infrared ray spectrum analyzer. An optimized weighted value calibration curve including a breaking length, folding endurance, moisture content, and acidity, and optimal analytical wavelength are obtained by using a PLSR method. An unknown spectrum of the Korean paper is measure by using the near-infrared ray spectrum analyzer set with the optimal analytical wavelength so that a calibration curve is obtained. The optimized weighted value calibration curve is substituted with an unknown calibration curve so that a predictive value of unknown breaking length, folding endurance, moisture content, and acidity of the Korean paper are obtained. |
