PURPOSE: A battery circuit breaker is provided to secure the operation of a trip coil by supplying the necessary voltage when the short-circuit current is flowing in an alternating current converter. CONSTITUTION: A battery circuit breaker(100), an opening/closing device(2), and a current transformer(3) are installed on an alternating current converter(1). The opening/closing device opens by the operation of a trip coil(4) when the excess current flows in the alternating current converter. The battery circuit breaker includes a rectifier circuit(6) controlled to increase the rate of the closing time of a switching unit(8) when the voltage outputted from the rectifier circuit is increased. |
