A table 5 formed with a clincher mechanism 11 at a front end thereof is rotatably supported on a frame 2. The clincher mechanism 11 of the table 5 is prevented from rotating in a direction in which the clincher mechanism 11 of the table 5 moves toward a staple driving section 3 by inserting a pair of locking plates 16a, 16b that are supported slidably along the frame 2 between the table 5 and the frame 2. Drive cams 24a, 24b operable to drive the locking plates 16a, 16b are provided independently for each of the locking plates 16a, 16b. Timings, at which the respective locking plates 16a, 16b start to operate in a direction in which each of the locking plates 16a, 16b is pulled out from between the table 5 and the frame 2 by the respective drive cams 24a, 24b, are shifted. |
