PURPOSE: A method for eliminating hydrogen sulfide is provided to improve the efficiency of a hydrogen sulfide eliminating operation by passing diffused gas through a vessel filled with filler and a solution containing an oxidizing agent and water. CONSTITUTION: Gas is diffused by passing gas through a diffuser(2) with pores of 0.2-100 microns. The diffused gas passes through a vessel(6) filled with filler(4) and a solution(3) containing an oxidizing agent and water. The filler occupies 25-75% of the vessel. The temperature of the solution is 55-200 degrees Fahrenheit. The pH value of the solution is 3-8. The porosity of the filler is 93-98%. The oxidizing agent is hydrogen peroxide. The oxidation reduction potential of the solution is more than or equal to 300mV.
