PURPOSE: A variable pre-load device of a bearing for a spindle using an active magnetic actuator is provided to control a non-linearity of a mover and an electromagnet by changing pre-load added to a bearing by sensing a change of a void. CONSTITUTION: A variable pre-load device of a bearing for a spindle using an active magnetic actuator comprises a core frame(1), a spring cage(2), a coil(4), a pre-load spring(3), a bearing housing(5), a bearing(6), a sensor unit(11), and a controller. The spring cage is mounted in a spring cage groove of the core frame. The coil is mounted in a coil groove of the core frame. The pre-load spring is installed in the spring cage. The bearing housing is installed in the front surface of the spring cage. The bearing housing is installed inside the bearing. The sensor unit is installed inside the pre-load spring. The controller controls a current applied to the coil by sensing a change of voids input by the sensor unit and changes the pre-load added to the bearing.
