发明名称 METHOD FOR REMOTE DETERMINATION OF THE SEA SURFACE LEVEL
摘要 The invention relates to oceanographic measurements and is intended mostly for determination of the level of sea surface along the route of a spacecraft. The technical result is in increase of accuracy of determination of the level of sea surface due to increase of the number of parameters determined that characterize state of water surface. The method for remote determination of the level of sea surface is in fact that at a radar set placed on the spacecraft one forms short radio-pulses with constant duration, with radiating sea surface in nadir and with registration of reflected radio-pulse. By inclination of the front of the reflected radio-pulse one determines the significant wave height and through calculations one determines distance from the source of radiation to the level of non-excited sea surface. Additionally sea surface is sounded at non-zero incident angles with registration of reflected signal and with determination of velocity of drive wind. By means of wave model one determines length and phase velocity of dominant waves. One determines asymmetry and excess of distribution of elevations of sea surface. With account of valuable height of waves and asymmetry and excess one corrects the value of distance from the source of radiation to the level of non-excided sea surface obtained.
