PURPOSE: A vehicle navigation map updating device using a lane recognition member is provided to perform the convenient road guidance because a driver rapidly updates unregistered operation information in a navigation map. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle navigation map updating device using a lane recognition member comprises a speed sensor(4), a lane sensor(6), a GPS tuner(8), a display unit(10), a display driving unit(12), a data storing unit(14), a road update processing module(16), and a control unit(20). The speed sensor detects a speed of a vehicle. The GPS tuner receives coordinate signals from a GPS satellite. The display unit displays a current driving location information and navigation map. The display driving unit drives the display unit. The data storing unit stores navigation map information. The road update processing module updates the corresponding information in the navigation map when control unit decides using new driving information which is not included in the navigation map. The control unit decides whether the new driving information is satisfied with the update condition of the navigation map or not. If the update condition is satisfied, the control unit performs the road update by controlling the road update processing module.
