PURPOSE: A digital amplifier having an output controlling function is provided to prevent an amplifier from being damaged by restricting outputs in an abnormal operation of an amplifier due to overheat or overload. CONSTITUTION: A digital amplifier having an output controlling function serves as emergency broadcast as well as general broadcast. The digital amplifier comprises a pre-amplifier(1), an electronic volume part(2), a MICOM(Micro processor Computer)(3), a main amplifier(4), and a speaker(5). The electronic volume part controls the volume of audio signals. The MICOM controls the volume of the electronic volume part. The main amplifier is connected to the electronic volume part. A speaker outputs sound while being connected to the main amplifier. A protection part reduces the level of output signals in the electronic volume part when the main amplifier is overheated or overloaded. |
