PURPOSE: An array substrate for an FFS(Fringe Field Switching) type liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to apply a pixel electrode of a step pattern shape, thereby reducing capacitance. CONSTITUTION: A protective film is formed on a frontal side of a substrate. The protective film exposes a drain electrode, a pixel electrode, a data line, and a source electrode. A plurality of common electrodes(129a,129b) are formed on the protective film. The common electrodes are overlapped with the pixel electrode and the data line. A data line connecting pattern(129d) connects the data line with the source electrode together with a pixel electrode connecting pattern. |
