PURPOSE: A post for a fence is provided to prevent a cap from being separated from a column using the elastic force of a leaf spring. CONSTITUTION: A post for a fence comprises a column(100), a finishing member(200), a cap(300), and leaf springs(400). The finishing member prevents the column from shaking. The cap is composed of a side wall and a top wall(240). The side wall has multiple protrusions and vent holes(380). The top wall has fixing ribs(360). The cap is formed on the top end of the column. The leaf springs are bent in a U-shape to be inserted into the fixing ribs and prevent the cap from being separated from the column.
