METHOD FOR RADICAL SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PILONIDAL CYST COMPLICATED WITH MULTIPLE SECONDARY FISTULAE

A method for the radical surgical treatment of the pilonidal cyst complicated with multiple secondary fistulae comprises the cut over the elements of the pilonidal cyst followed by their mechanical removal. The incision in the area of the intergluteal fold involves the primary fistulous passage. The secondary fistulous passages are encircled with the incisions within the margins of the intact tissue. Through the generated surgical wounds, the subcutaneous fat of sacrococcygeal area is tunneled in the opposite direction with excision of the cyst and all secondary fistulous passages with the aid of ultrasonic dissector. Then the wounds are sutured with the separate interrupted sutures.
