A method for selecting the mode of hyperbaric oxygenation comprises the assessment of the heart rhythm variability prior to and after procedure of hyperbaric oxygenation. The heart rhythm variability is assessed in dynamics in the course of such treatment. When the cardiac output, arterial blood pressure, and heart rate decrease, tension index is less than 200 conv. units, the standard deviation is more than 30 ms following the first procedure within 5 min after decompression, the duration of the next procedures should be 50 min. The excess pressure is increased by 1.2 atm. until the procedure with the excess pressure wherein tension index is more than 200 conv. units with the increase in the cardiac output, arterial blood pressure, and heart rate and the decrease in the standard deviation below 20 ms. Subsequently, when the cardiac output, arterial blood pressure, and heart rate decrease, tension index is less than 200 conv. units, the standard deviation is more than 30 ms following the first procedure, the duration of the next procedures should be 50 min. Then, the excess pressure is increased by 1.1 atm. until the procedure with the excess pressure wherein the cardiac output, arterial blood pressure, and heart rate increase with the decrease in the standard deviation below 20 ms. When the cardiac output, arterial blood pressure, and heart rate increase regardless of the changes of the tension index and the standard deviation following the first procedure, the duration of the subsequent procedures should be 40 min. The excess pressure is decreased by 1.1 atm. until the procedure wherein the cardiac output, arterial blood pressure, and heart rate decrease. |
