METHOD FOR SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC DETERMINATION OF IRON IN PETROL

A method for spectrophotometric determination of iron in petrol includes extraction removal of iron from petrol to water phase with solution of lime chloride and spectrophotometric determination of iron as a complex with salicyl-sulphonic acid. N-methyl-aniline is removed from samples of petrol with triple washing with solution of acetic acid with concentration of 1.0 mol/dmat ratio of water and organic phases 2:1 and extraction time 2 minutes.
