Following the opening of the "cold" abscess, the removal of the caseous-necrotic masses and destroyed ribs or sternum and the aseptic treatment of the wound with 0.05 % solution of chlorohexidine bigluconate, the wound is powdered with the mixture of Streptomycin and Rifampicin . Lincomycin hydrochloride 30 % 2.0 mL with hydrocortisone 2.5 % 2.0 mL are administered into the soft tissues surrounding the wound at 4-5 sites daily for 14 days. |
