PURPOSE: A fake video detecting apparatus and a method thereof are provided to improve the reliability and a security level. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for determining a fake image comprises an image-acquiring block(102) for acquiring an image captured by and input from a camera, a background-learning block(104) for learning a background of the image to create a learning background, a face extracting-block(108) for extracting a face region of a person to be authenticated when an input image for authentication is transmitted from the camera, and an inter-background comparing block(110) for comparing a present background of an input image with the learning background. |
