FUEL SUPPLY EQUIPMENT FOR AIRCRAFT

PURPOSE: An apparatus for supplying fuel is provided to consecutively supply fuel to a gas turbine engine by sucking only liquid fuel through an opened suction pipe, and to automatically open and close an entrance of the suction pipe by inertial force without using a spring or an actuator. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for supplying fuel comprises a tank body and a Y-shaped suction pipe assembly. A fuel inlet is arranged in one side of the tank body and a fuel outlet is arranged in the other side. Predetermined quantity of fuel is loaded in the tank body. The suction pipe assembly is arranged inside the tank body and discharges the fuel sucked through one of two suction pipes(21a) through a discharge pipe(21b) connected to the fuel outlet. The suction pipe assembly comprises a suction pipe body(21), a pair of valve assemblies(30), and a connecting rod(25). The suction pipe body is composed of the discharge pipe and the two suction pipes. The valve assemblies are respectively installed in the end of the suction pipes to open and close the suction pipes. The connecting rod connects the valve assemblies to always open only one suction pipe between the suction pipes of the suction pipe body.
