PURPOSE: A road/traffic information image display system of a road surface and a method thereof are provided to display various kinds of road information on a road surface, thereby easily providing information visibility and accessibility to a driver. CONSTITUTION: A pillar(100) is installed on one side of a road surface. A housing(110) is installed on one side of the pillar. One side of the housing is formed with a transparent material. An image generation unit is installed inside the housing. A light source generation unit is installed on one side of the image generation unit. An optical unit controls sharpness and size of a created image. A control unit controls each unit.
