PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PPARγ function regulator or the like, containing a diphenylethene derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

SOLUTION: The PPARγ function regulator includes: the diphenylethene derivative represented by general formula (I) (wherein, X is hydrogen or lower alkyl which may have a substituent; Y is cyano, aromatic heterocycle which may have a substituent, or the like; R1to R6are the same or different, and each hydrogen, lower alkyl, halogen or the like; A is aromatic heterocycle which may have a substituent) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient.
