<p>"Three-coat chrome-effect base", especially of a paint having the main characteristics of simulating the vacuum-metalizing and chroming effect, particularly indicated for being applied to engineering plastics such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon. The dyeing product referred to may also be applied to metals and wood, giving the painted surface an appearance very similar to that of chromed or vacuum-metalized surfaces. The base of the invention consists of thermoplastic acrylic, hydroxylated acrylic, epoxy or polyester resins (0.1-5% by weight), organic solvents such as acetates (5-70% by weight), 2-3% (by weight) micronized aluminium in solution and aluminium-orienting additives (0.1-2% by weight).</p> |
