Provided are a method, a device, and a system to check for data repetitiveness. The method to check for data repetitiveness comprises: matching respectively a parameter of each character of a piece of data to a parameter of each node in a parallel index tree, each node of the parallel index tree corresponding to one character, and the node parameter comprising at least the length of the character string of the data wherein the corresponding character is located and the location of the corresponding character within the character string; on the basis of the result of the match, judging whether or not the data is identical to a piece of stored data, if not, storing the parameter of each character of the data as the node parameter into the parallel index tree. Also provided are a device to check for data repetitiveness and a data application system. The value of the parameter of each character of the data is parallelly matched in the form of the parallel index tree.
