PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member having a polarizer and capable of changing an advancing direction of light.

SOLUTION: An optical member 18 includes a polarizing plate 40 having a polarizer 41, and an optical sheet 60 disposed opposing to the polarizing plate and joined to the polarizing plate. At least one face, in a face of the polarizing plate opposing to the optical sheet and a face of the optical sheet opposing to the polarizing plate, is formed into a concavo-convex pattern. The one face is joined to the other face via at least a part of projections in the concavo-convex pattern that constitutes the one face, forming a space V between the polarizing plate and the optical sheet.
