<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window regulator which allows an engaging part between a push-pull cable and a carrier to have a simple and compact structure. <P>SOLUTION: A window regulator comprises an open-end flexible push-pull cable 6 which engages a drive gear to be pushed or pulled by bidirectional rotation of the drive gear, a carrier 7 which connects an end of the push-pull cable 6 and also connects window glass, and a guide rail 8 which guides the push-pull cable 6 and the carrier 7 along a drive path. The guide rail 8 is provided with a rectangular frame part (a first frame surface 8A, a second frame surface 8B, a third frame surface 8C, and a fourth frame surface 8D) which has an opening 8E for the passage of the carrier 7 and constitutes a guide groove for the push-pull cable 6.
