<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support part for card clothing which reinforces fixing effects and allows a wire for card clothing to be swung without causing breakage. <P>SOLUTION: A support part for card clothing, which is used for a coating part for card flat, comprises a belt-shaped support part made of plastic material and at least one belt-shaped insert for reinforcement disposed near a back part of the support part so as to be embedded into a main body of a base. In order to reinforce fixing effects by simple means and allow a wire for card clothing to be swung without causing defects due to breakage, a support part for card clothing has at least two layers (a bottom layer and a top layer) that are connected with each other and made of different plastic materials.
