<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower capable of surely preventing an air leakage, restricting the manufacturing cost, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The electric blower includes: a centrifugal fan which has a circular suction opening; a motor which rotates the centrifugal fan; a fan cover which has a circular intake opening to be connected to the suction opening and which is to be fitted to the motor so as to cover the centrifugal fan; and an annular seal member 92 which seals a connection part between the suction opening and the intake opening. The seal member 92 is formed into an annular shape by opening a sheet-like seal raw material 95, which has a slit 97 in a central part thereof and a pair of cut parts 98 in the outside thereof, outward from the slit 97, and by changing an outer peripheral side 95c and an inner peripheral side 95b with each other to deform so that the edge part of the cut part 98 is brought into pressure-contact to seal the cut part 98. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
