Provided is a production method for a polyester resin, the method including a solid-phase polymerization process in which solid-phase polymerization is performed by continuously introducing crystallized polyester resin from one end of a cylindrical container and gradually moving the resin toward the other end in the cylindrical container, while introducing hot air into the cylindrical container, and controlling the temperature distribution of the polyester resin to 0.5% to 10% in a direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the polyester resin that moves through the cylindrical container.
