PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing fluorinated composite metallic oxide particles capable of performing uniform fluorination on composite metallic oxide particles of lithium and transition metal in a relatively short time.

SOLUTION: In the method of producing composite metallic oxide particles of fluorinated lithium and transition metal, the composite metallic oxide particles of fluorinated lithium and transition metal are produced by bringing the composite metallic oxide particles into contact with fluorine gas or fluorine gas-containing gas by means of a vibration type reactor.
