POWDER PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain occurrence of failure of an RFID tag when a toner storage container 32Y is detached.

SOLUTION: A powder processing device comprises: a fixing/releasing lever 76Y movable between a locking position for locking a toner storage container 32Y in an attached position and a releasing position where the locking of the toner storage container 32Y is released; and a lever position sensor 79Y for detecting whether the fixing/releasing lever 76Y is in the locking position or not. Data reading/writing means is formed from a combination of a control section and a reading/writing device 791Y such that based on a change from the state in which the lever position sensor 79Y is detecting the locking position of the fixing/releasing lever 76Y to the state in which the sensor 79Y stops detecting it, a reading process and a writing process for an RFID tag of an electronic substrate 321Y1f of the toner storage container 32Y are forcibly stopped.
