<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the quality of a display image. <P>SOLUTION: The input/output device includes a pixel portion, a plurality of light-emitting circuits which are provided in the pixel portion and emit light, and a light detection circuit which is provided in the pixel portion and generates a voltage with a value corresponding to the illuminance of the incident light. Each of the plurality of the light-emitting circuits include: a drive transistor; and a light-emitting element that has a first electric current terminal electrically connected to a source or drain of the drive transistor and a second electric current terminal to which a first voltage is input, and emits light in response to an electric current passing between the first electric current terminal and the second electric current terminal.
