<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a substrate having a polymer nanostructure by controlling formation of a phase separation structure of a block copolymer quickly and simply. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming the phase separation structure of the block copolymer includes mixing a block copolymer, which contains plural kinds of polymers combined, with a carbon nanotube. The method for producing the substrate having the polymer nanostructure on its surface includes: a step of preparing a mixed solution by mixing the carbon nanotube with a solution of the block copolymer, which contains the plural kinds of polymers combined; a step of forming a layer having the phase separation structure of the block copolymer by coating the prepared, mixed solution on a surface of the substrate; and, a step of, among the layer, selectively removing a layer composed of at least one kind of polymer from among the plural kinds of polymers organizing the block copolymer.
