<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient production method of 5,7-dihydroxy-6-methoxyflavones in a short step. <P>SOLUTION: The production method of 5,7-dihydroxy-6-methoxyflavones includes a step of demethylating 5,6,7-trimethoxy-8-acylflavones expressed by general formula (II).
