PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a base film for a self-adhesive sheet that hardly produces outgassing even under a high temperature environment and has a fracture elongation usable in a self-adhesive sheet application.

SOLUTION: The method for producing a base film for a self-adhesive sheet includes: (1) a step of heating a coating film-forming material containing energy ray-polymerizable urethane acrylate oligomer to make an application liquid, and casting the application liquid on a base to form a coating film; and (2) a step of irradiating the coating film with an energy ray.
