<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fluidic analyzers that have one or more instrument-cartridge interfaces. <P>SOLUTION: The fluidic analyzer may be a flow cytometer, a hematology analyzer, etc. having leak-free interfaces between an instrument and a disposable cartridge. In some embodiments, the instrument includes a needle disposed to pierce through a septum on a removable cartridge.
