<p>Provided are: a binder composition for mold making purposes, whereby it becomes possible to improve the curing rate of a mold and to produce a mold having high final strength and high deep-part curability; and a process for producing a mold, which utilizes the binder composition. The binder composition for mold making purposes according to the present invention comprises a specific acid-curable resin and a specified amount of a rosin-modified maleic acid resin having an acid value of 70 mg KOH/g or more. The process for producing a mold according to the present invention comprises a step of curing a mixture comprising fire-resistant particles, the binder composition for mold making purposes according to the present invention, and a curing agent.</p> |
