A light emitting display device and a driving method thereof are provided to perform bi-directional scanning based on forward or reverse directions by applying different selection signals to respective pixel circuits. A display unit includes first and second scan lines for receiving first and second selection signals, respectively. Plural first and second flip-flops(SR11~SR14,SR21~SR26) output a signal which is shifted from an input signal as much as a first period. First bi-directional controllers(BC11~BC14) deliver the shifted signal of one of the first flip-flop to another one adjacent in a first direction according to a first control signal, and deliver the shifted signal of one of the first flip-flop to another one adjacent in a second direction according to a second control signal. Second bi-directional controllers(BC21~BC26) deliver the shifted signal of one of the second flip-flop to another one adjacent in the first direction according to the first control signal, and deliver the shifted signal of one of the second flip-flop to another one adjacent in the second direction according to the second control signal. First and second logical circuits generate a first selection signal by a logical operation on the shifted signal from the first flip-flop and first or second signals, and deliver the first selection signal to first scan lines of first and second columns, respectively. Third and fourth logical circuits generate a second selection signal by a logical operation on the shifted signal from the second flip-flop and the first or second signals, and deliver the second selection signal to second scan lines of first and second columns, respectively. |
