<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring positions of curvature centers (K1, K2, and K3) of optical planes (S1, S2, and S3) of a multi-lens optical system (62). <P>SOLUTION: In the first place, intervals among the optical planes (S1, S2, and S3) are measured along a reference axis (34) by means of an interferometer (24). Secondly, the curvature centers (K1, K2, and K3) of the optical planes (S1, S2, and S3) are measured by means of an optical angle measuring device (22). While the positions of the curvature centers of the optical planes (S2 and S3) located inside the optical system (62) are measured, the measured positions of the curvature centers (K1 and K2) of the optical planes (S1 and S2) located between the optical planes (S2 and S3) and the optical angle measuring device (22), and the previously measured intervals among the optical planes (S1, S2, and S3) are calculatingly considered.
