<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica glass crucible which suppress the silica glass crucible from buckling or sinking and is hard to crack. <P>SOLUTION: The wall of the silica glass crucible used for pulling up a silicon single crystal includes: a non-doped inside face layer comprising natural silica glass or compound silica glass toward the outside face side from the inside face side of the crucible; and a mineralization element maldistributed silica glass layer dispersed with mineralization element maldistributed areas where mineralization elements are distributed in the shape of islands. The glass element in the mineralization element maldistributed area and the glass element around the periphery are the combination of mineralization element doped natural silica glass and non-doped synthetic silica glass or a combination of mineralization element doped synthetic silica glass and non-doped natural silica glass.
