<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining seating structure which provides a balanced ride throughout the range of tilting motion of a chair for users. <P>SOLUTION: The seating structure includes: a central spine member; an upper back structure; and a back support structure. The upper back structure includes a pair of arms extending upwardly and outwardly from the spine member, wherein the upper back structure is pivotally connected to the central spine member about a first horizontal axis. The back support structure is pivotally connected to the spine member about a second horizontal axis and pivotally connected to the ends of each of the arms about a third horizontal axis.
