<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader/writer that is user-friendly. <P>SOLUTION: A clip 12 can cover a USB connector by being slided in a direction extending an entire length of a reader/writer when in a storage state, and can expose the USB connector by being slided in a direction overlapping with a USB module 11 when in a connection state and an usage state. Also, the clip 12 can be mounted on either a side face 11 A side or a side face 11 C side of the USB module 11. Further, the clip 12 can be mounted on the USB module 11 even if it is turned 180 degrees.
