<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air conditioner capable of reliably maintaining communication connection between an indoor unit and an outdoor unit regardless of whether the outdoor unit has a function of reducing consumption of standby power. <P>SOLUTION: The indoor unit 2 and the outdoor unit 3 are connected by three wires of a power supply line 8, a power supply signal common line 9 and a signal line 16; and commercial power 7 is supplied to either the indoor unit 2 or the outdoor unit 3 via the power supply line 8 and the power supply signal common line 9. The indoor unit 2 actuates an outdoor start relay 22 that opens and closes connection between the power supply line 8 and the signal line 16; and an indoor control unit 5 of the indoor unit 2 controls supply of the commercial power 7 to between the signal line 16 and the power supply signal common line 9. When the indoor control unit 5 detects disconnection of communication with the outdoor unit 3, the control unit 5 controls to supply the commercial power 7 to the outdoor unit 3 and controls to establish or re-establish the communication connection between the indoor unit 2 and the outdoor unit 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
